Meet Yago Doggo

I love my cool ears!

I'm a real dog. I write a real dog blog.

How can a real dog blog? If you are a human, you won't understand even if I explain. If you are what humans call an "animal", then you already know.

I'll leave it at that.

I'm sure you are curious about what kind of real dog I am, so here are some things I think are important to know about me.

I was the runt of the litter and I was dumped as a puppy. Look at me now! I'm the dog on the Appreciate Your Pet logo to your right!

I was taken in by a sympathetic adult person (SAP) ( I know you humans like three-letter acronyms) and I have stayed with this human known as "Mom" for 15 years.

Mom's daughter named me "Yago" after a character in a a play called "The Fantastiks".

Me, Mom and Mom's daughter, Jennifer

I grew up on a horse farm and I still live on one.

I developed into quite a handsome guy! I think my ears are really cool!

I don't like brushing or baths. I love rolling in smelly stuff and eating things that cause humans to distort their faces.

I'm what humans call a "mutt". I'm hairy. I have a black tongue. And I have the most unusual horizontal orange tiger stripes on my coat.

I hunt. I'm good at it. I like it. That's all I'm saying.

I will not wear goofy clothes or costumes made by humans.

I don't like to ride in what humans call "cars". I usually leave a souvenir of my trip in this amalgamation of metal on wheels.

I've fathered two litter of pups. I'm a single father who lives with his teenage daughter. Thank goodness she's spayed!

Cats? Never liked them. There's a few I tolerate.

Favorite snacks? Sardines, horse hoof trimmings, and an occasional groundhog.

I'm 15 years old, a little grayer and the world sure is quieter now. But I'm good at reading human lips!

I'm the watchdog! No one gets by me!

I love life!
